apple macbook pro – Apple MacBook Pro or iMac?

Apple MacBook Pro or iMac?

I currently have a Toshiba Satellite M305 Laptop (fairly new) w/ Vista, a HP Mini Netbook (for school and travel), and a 2001 Compaq Presario 5000 (which I don't use because of the lack of a monitor)

I am getting the MacBook Pro or iMac for my birthday coming up this winter…just can't decide which one.

I am leaning more towards the MacBook Pro…design and trackpad appeal to me…
but would it be more sensible to get an iMac? Because I already have 2 laptop computers and am lacking a desktop?
