How Can I Connect an Xbox 360 Controller to My Computer?

I play a game called Combat Arms. Im not the best at it, but in MW2 on the 360, Im very good. I wanted to learn how to connect my Xbox 360 controller to my computer so I can do better. How can i do this?

You need to get a wired controller, not one that you can connect the wire to, one with it built in, don’t ask me why. And plug it into the USB drive.
